My particular purpose as a concert pianist consists of choosing a program   for solo piano recitals where I combine works that build a musical and historical line, as well as contrasting characters of the pieces. My repertoire includes standard works as well as less-known pieces of classical piano literature. I have a great passion for challenge in music, and I strongly believe that audience should be initiated to great masterworks, even though the musical structure is at first complicated, but my role as an interpreter consists of bringing those works closer to the people.
The ultimate goal of this challenge is simply making music to reach everyone´s heart and soul. My objective is to create a special atmosphere for the audience, more like a drama, opera or theatrical representation, where the story is taking place in the unique imagination of every single person.   Roberta Pili - November 2008
